Unlike us Ridgebacks,  Vizslas don’t check things out before they eat, but they do after they poop. So, my sister Zilli quickly begun eating the snow.

Soon enough my dad brought out the frisbee for us to play.  That was fun.

Right when we were having a lot of fun Zilli grabbed the Frisbee and took off.  Because she is full of hot air she can run faster than both 7 and me.

When we complained to dad about Zilli,  he told 7 and I about the time when he was our age he didn’t even have a frisbee, so we should stop complaining and have fun some other ways.   I love my dad, and he is the coolest human I know, but he is always going on and on and on about “When I was your age I didn’t even have this, and that.”   So 7 and I asked him how he played in snow when he was our age.

He told us him and his friends used to write their name on the snow with their pee.  As soon as he said that both 7 & I realized how we forgot to pee for a long time.  So we asked him to teach us how to do it.  Being the coolest dad in the world he said he would.  The trick he told us is when writing your name is to use other people’s yards.  So we quickly went to my Aunties’ yard to write our name.  So when my cousins Arthur & Gracie comes out they’ll know we were there.

Since we both had to pee, it was rather easy for us to write our names.  I went first, and 7 went right after me.  It was quite a fun to play in the snow.  After writing our names  my mom called us in to make sure our paws didn’t get frostbite.

Take me for an example (other than being super humble I think I represent Ridgeback breed perfectly.)  Here I am an African dog living in a city where there are no lions, no zebras, not even a warthog for that matter and I’m perfectly content with that.  It sure helps to have an awesome dad who can see the future like an African shaman.

Last night before going to sleep he told me when we wake up the ground will be covered with snow. He won’t go to work and we’ll play in it.  I thought he was full of hot air like my sister Zilli.  This morning when we woke up  the city was like the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro  covered in snow.  I never knew where snow came from  so I asked to wisest man I know.  My dad.
Of course he knew the answer.

He told me  some of the prankster angels with lots of dandruff  when they get enough prayers from little human pups (who don’t want to go to school) will sit on clouds and play with their hair.  This helps them with their dandruff problem and will  make schools close for a day or two.  It’s a win win deal.

Being a prankster I am I wanted to see some of those angels, but my dad said because they are sitting on the clouds I couldn’t see them.

This didn’t stop us from playing  in the snow.  I’ll write more about that later.  Now that my paws are warm again  I am going out there to play.

The other day  I was walking on the snow with the Big Guy.

Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed pawprints on the snow.  Sometimes there were two sets of pawprints, other times there was one only.

This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of pawprints, so I said to the Big Guy,

“You promised me Big Guy, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of pawprints on the snow. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”

The Big Guy replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of pawprints, my creation, is when I carried you.”

Now days where ever I go people keep saying I’m “becoming a Man”

I was quite  worried about that for a while. Don’t get me wrong I love my mom & dad, but I would much rather be a dog. They’re cool and when I was a puppy I thought they were gods, but I’m almost 5.   That makes me almost as old as my dad. I know things.

We Ridgebacks are also very fast on our feet   I even amaze myself how quickly I can come up with stuff.

When my dad was explaining to me what humans meant by  “becoming a man”

7, Zilli & Nellie were out playing.      So they didn’t hear the explanation.

Upon their return I told them  ” They better sit.  I have some terrible news.”

So terrible that if it was out in the open the world as we know it would come to an end.

I could only tell it once. So I will whisper it to 7    and he will whisper it to Nellie, then Nellie will whisper it to Zilli.

and I told them

… When we dogs turn 5  we actually become people.  In fact that’s how our parents are our parents. They were dogs first 5 years of their lives and when they turned 5 they became people…

It was too funny. You should’ve been there.

They were so freaked out.  I could barely keep myself from busting out laughing.  -I had to think about the time I got attacked by bunch of fire ants and my lip was swollen like a hipo’s lip.

Anyways here I took their picture.   Heh Heh Heeeeeee.

It was too funny.

But just like any great big brother (and host of course)
I quickly told them:
“No we are never going to be humans. We will always remain dogs.
Eternally loyal, always unconditionally loving, always present in the now, and connected to The Source.”

And they were happy.

I told Zilli She is my sister. So I never see her that way… But she was still a bit upset about my outburst :O)

My mom said “She looks just like Zilli, but with more tan.” That’s funny.    My mom is funny too.  Look at 7   he’s goofy. I love that boy.
